We have talked about winter safety by reminding students to dress for the weather and use extra care when walking on snow-covered and icy surfaces, especially on the way to and from school. Please remind your child/ren to stay off the roads, even when sidewalks are icy and difficult for walking. To prevent slipping onto the street, students are reminded to take extra precautions by standing back from the curb and waiting to make sure that cars are completely stopped before they begin to cross the street.
There should be no snowballs thrown on the way to and from school.
Although we stay in during extremely cold temperatures, we go outside as often as possible. Please make sure children bundle up and wear warm jackets, snow pants, boots, hats and mittens or gloves.
Please help us avoid slips and falls by sending a pair of shoes to be worn inside.
